Our Vision

MAIN helps Mississippians understand, use, and apply artificial intelligence through free AI courses in Mississippi, statewide partnerships, practical AI resources, and coordinated support for education, workforce, government, and industry. MAIN is Mississippi’s statewide AI initiative, connecting institutions, communities, and partners while providing AI training, adoption guidance, governance support, use-case planning, and implementation pathways.

What is MAIN?

The Mississippi Artificial Intelligence Network (MAIN) is Mississippi’s statewide AI initiative and the first of its kind in the nation. MAIN brings together all public and private universities and community colleges across Mississippi with government, workforce, industry, community, and technology partners to advance AI education, workforce development, responsible adoption, statewide innovation, and practical AI implementation. Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College serves as MAIN’s anchor institution, providing operational and fiscal coordination.
