MAIN serves as Mississippi’s coordinated statewide AI initiative, connecting institutions, communities, and partners to prepare the state for an AI-driven economy.
What is MAIN?
The Mississippi Artificial Intelligence Network (MAIN) is the nation’s first statewide AI initiative, advancing AI education, workforce training, responsible adoption, and practical AI implementation across Mississippi. MAIN was established in response to the rapid rise of artificial intelligence and its growing impact across education, workforce development, government, industry, and the economy. Through strategic partnerships, MAIN supports practical AI learning, implementation, and awareness statewide.

Our Partners
MAIN’s reach has expanded to encompass a diverse array of public and private entities across Mississippi. Notable members include all 15 community colleges, several universities, the Mississippi Department of Information Technology Services (ITS), the Mississippi Cyber Initiative (MCI), the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE), the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL), the Mississippi Manufacturers Association (MMA), and many more. These partnerships play a vital role in advancing AI education, training, and awareness statewide.
