Launched by Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College as the operational anchor, MAIN connects public community colleges, public universities, K-12 districts, state and local government agencies, and industry partners around coordinated, equitable, and scalable AI education.

MGCCC as operational anchor
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College provides fiscal accountability, curriculum updates, partnership management, and statewide reporting for the network.
Initial seed funding
MAIN launched with a $1 million Workforce Enhancement Training grant from AccelerateMS in 2023.
Statewide scale
A $7.1 million RESTORE Act grant expanded the already-operational network statewide.
