Partnership Structure
Key Components of the Partnership
AWS will fund AI application POCs using AWS landing zones operated by ITS. Higher education students gain sandbox access for hands-on experience.
AWS contributes an AI/ML curriculum for higher education, supported by MAIN, including labs, workshops, and certification pathways.
ITS, AWS, and MAIN will run workshops to explore use cases and build actionable innovation roadmaps.
A joint committee of ITS, MAIN, and AWS will guide statewide AI initiatives.
AWS investment in Mississippi’s AI/ML Local Zone data centers expands tech infrastructure and opportunity across the state.
The Hub draws inspiration from models like Massachusetts’ InnovateMA and will centralize AI use case submissions, share POC outcomes, and connect student innovators with career pathways.
