Dr. Kollin Napier, Director of the Mississippi Artificial Intelligence Network – MAIN, engaged with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Excelerate in STEM Scholars alongside administration and faculty at the annual summit. He participated in a professional panel and met one on one with students to discuss career pathways, emerging opportunities, and how to prepare for the future.

He shared insight on artificial intelligence as a capability layer across every industry, emphasizing that AI is not a single career path but a foundational skill set that strengthens all professions. His message was clear: adaptability is the ultimate competitive advantage.

It is encouraging to see these scholars developing leadership, technical skills, and confidence as they prepare to shape Mississippi’s future STEM workforce.

Thank you to the MGCCC faculty and staff who coordinated this impactful event, and to the students whose engagement and thoughtful questions made the conversations meaningful.
