Jackson State University (JSU), a historic HBCU, has partnered with the Mississippi Artificial Intelligence Network (MAIN), the nation’s first and only statewide AI initiative, to expand AI education, innovation, and workforce development across Mississippi.

JSU will integrate AI curriculum and training resources into its academic and administrative programs. This initiative will provide AI training for students, faculty, staff, and the broader community. Additionally, JSU will establish a MAIN AI Lab, offering a dedicated space for hands-on learning, research, and innovation.

“MAIN ensures every Mississippian—whether in school, the workforce, or transitioning careers—has access to AI training and education,” said Dr. Kollin Napier, Director of MAIN. “This partnership expands AI access at JSU, helping individuals and industries prepare for the future.”

Together, MAIN and JSU are advancing Mississippi’s leadership in AI education and workforce readiness, ensuring AI-driven opportunities reach all communities.
