The Mississippi Artificial Intelligence Network (MAIN) is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We want every visitor to be able to find information, use our resources, and participate in MAIN programs and opportunities.

Our accessibility standard

This statement applies to mainms.org. MAIN uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, as its technical accessibility target. WCAG explains how to make digital content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities and more usable for everyone.

As a statewide education and workforce initiative hosted by Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, MAIN also works to align its public-facing digital content with applicable Section 508 and Americans with Disabilities Act accessibility expectations.

What we are doing

  • Using clear heading structures, descriptive links, readable text, and consistent page organization.
  • Providing text alternatives for images that communicate meaning.
  • Supporting keyboard navigation, visible focus, screen readers, text resizing, and sufficient color contrast.
  • Reviewing new and updated content, documents, forms, and features for accessibility.
  • Using a combination of automated checks, manual review, and feedback from website visitors to identify barriers and guide improvements.

Ongoing review and known limitations

Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility. MAIN reviews the website as content and technology change and works to address confirmed barriers. Some older content, documents, videos, or third-party tools may not yet fully meet our accessibility goals. Third-party content may be controlled by an outside provider, but we will help users obtain the information or service in an accessible way when possible and will use reported barriers to inform remediation and vendor decisions.
