Public-sector leaders work with AI tools
The lead feature covers Anthropic Day Mississippi on May 29 at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Biloxi. State officials, agency leaders, and academic leaders took part in guided labs and an end-of-day showcase. The program included Claude, Claude Code, Claude Cowork, and Claude Design.
Another report revisits MAIN’s May 14 Grok webinar. Its agenda covered collaboration, prompt engineering, and application integration. The two events offered different learning formats: an in-person build session and an online introduction to tools and APIs. Both have concluded; the linked reports preserve their topics and format.
Statewide priorities and a national discussion
The framework featured in June names five priorities: literacy and access, ethics and critical thinking, privacy and governance, workforce readiness, and strategic alignment. It connects these priorities with eleven AI skill domains and a progression from K-12 education into the workforce.

At US AI Congress in Washington, D.C., Dr. Kollin Napier joined a discussion on building AI-ready states and regions with representatives from Ohio, Georgia, and Missouri.
Coastal recognition and resources to revisit
The Gulf Coast Business Council named MAIN a 2026 Rising Tide Award recipient at the May 21 State of the Coast Symposium in Biloxi. The June issue includes the recognition alongside its training and public-sector reports.
Resource pages in the PDF cover education policy templates, NVIDIA training, the AI Innovation Hub, and potential agency use cases. These include document intake, grant reporting, and disaster resource matching. They provide examples for planning; the newsletter does not establish that each example has been deployed.
